This is Tommy Vaughn's (LiveHorns.com) arrangement of one of my favorite Sting songs. It comes as close to describing my inner spiritual landscape as a human could come. That whole album of his rocks. I normally don't do covers unless the lyrics are that good and this one really has some great lines.

This is a Christian song written by Michael MacDonald and Beth Nielson Chapman for a Christmas album. I didn't really like the arrangement the way I played it so I changed it to something that I could play better. We recorded this one night at Live Horns Studio, a bit impromptu while working on something else but since then I've played it out and it seems to get a good response. That's what good writing will do.

Bob Mete wrote it so we were going to do just the English version, which turned out well for us and was signed by a library pretty much straight away. He thought the rhythm of it was very Latin jazz and there was an opportunity for me to learn Portuguese so we did that too and I think that one came out even better. So here it is, Lua Sobre Mim.

I wrote this for my daughter and got lucky enough to have Rhonda hop in on it with me on the chorus. Daniel Martinez is doing the cello to my piano. I'm glad it found a home on a Coast compilation album to benefit Hope Haven, a local children's shelter. The album's called Songs for Hope, in case you'd like to hunt it up!

I wrote this in about 10 minutes about 9 years ago, very different from how I usually write. I did a different version on another album with some girlfriends (Something Else) but always liked how zany it was and I knew it needed real horns so I redid it with Tommy using his Live Horns trio. It's been signed to a library, which was great. Most of these songs have, so that's refreshing and fun for me. Also, the joke Tommy played on me to get me to laugh...well, can't really be repeated here but it definitely got the result he wanted.

This is a collaboration between Derek Jasnoch and me. Derek wrote all the music, I wrote the lyrics and melody and Tommy Vaughan from Live Horns Studios did the final mix. I love this song! It's about a detective who falls in love with the victim of a homicide on a city bus.

This is a cowrite with Derek Jasnoch (Der Llama on the taxi forums) and I think it's the most fun, best thing I've done so far. It's amazing that we even met let alone collaborated.....he sounds British on the phone but lives in Albuquerque, I'm not any of those things including the 'he'!! hahahaha
