Goodbye Dave Golding. Thank you. I’ll miss you.

David Golding, with his wife, Martha, created my site so you would be able to easily hear what you wanted, read what you wanted, make comments as you like.

I’m ashamed to say I didn’t take full advantage of all the toys he set up for me. I’m awful at blogging.  For him, I will resolve to do better. I’m horrendous at social media and building a fan base. Maybe someone has some suggestions for me. I’ll be happy to listen!! (and grateful too) But then again, David believed in me enough to do this site out of a sheer desire to do it. So I resolve to have more of a presence here. Sisters\’ Solace (for David)

David passed away a few weeks ago now. I still feel a bit of shock about it, which is odd. I mean, I do work with stage IV breast cancer clients and with hospice clients. I spend a lot of days of the week in the company of the dying. However, David was the kind of guy who doesn’t die; too wise, too kind, too magnetic in his own way. Those guys don’t die. Look at Steve McQueen or Paul Newman. They’re not really gone; they’ve become so much a part of our lives that we see them on the big screen and feel them every time someone says their name or quotes them. They still have influence over us, and if we watch for the clues they drop around us like bombs, they provide us their guidance through rocky shores.

So, if you’re out there listening, Dave: I promise to do ya betta. I’ll write more, visit the site more, work on driving mo folks there so they can see what a beautiful site you did for me. I will try my best to be worthy of your wonderful work and I will honor Martha’s careful watch.

And I’ll see ya soon.

Luv ya, Squids
